Better skin with fewer products
June 12th, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedHow many skin care products do you use? You may be using too many.
The Cosmetics Restriction Diet - New York Times reports:
“Dr. Cook-Bolden is part of a back-to-basics movement among dermatologists. At a time when beauty companies are introducing an increasing number of products marketed for specific body parts —including necks, creases around the mouth and eyelids — or for apocryphal maladies like visible pores or cellulite, these doctors are putting their patients on cosmetics restriction diets.”
Dr. Cook-Bolden says: “Just two products, a gentle cleanser and a good sunscreen, are enough daily skin care for most people, and you can buy those at a drugstore or a grocery store.”
So, put clear out your bathroom cupboard and get rid of all those product. You skin may look better. And of course, it will save you money too.
I’ve been creating my own skin care products with essential oils - not only does my skin look and feel better, it’s saving me money too.

February 28th, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedThe State | 02/26/2008 | Skin care secrets reports: “If you have severely dry skin, look for a moisturizer that contains beeswax, shea butter or glycerin, or try Cetaphil Therapeutic Hand Cream, Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream or Eucerin Original Moisturizing Cream — all available at your local drug, grocery and discount retailer.”
Great skin care can be inexpensive
Looking for an inexpensive skin care product? Try super-healthy rose hip oil. Not only is rose hip oil totally natural, it helps to regenerate your skin.
Rose hip oil contains 80% essential fatty acids (EFAs), predominantly linoleic and linolenic and is naturally enriched with antioxidants beta carotene and lycopene. The EFAs aid the regeneration of skin cells and repair of damaged tissues, retards the signs of premature aging and provides excellent results in the treatment of scars, burns (including sunburn), dry eczema and other skin blemishes. The antioxidants in Rose Hip oil are effective in reducing post-acne and surgical scarring.

Anti aging skin care products to use with Athena 7-Minute Lift
November 30th, 2007    Subscribe To Our FeedIf you’re using Athena 7-Minute Lift, you need products which are compatible with it.
“Look 10 Years Younger By Christmas: Athena 7-Minute Lift Revisited” reports:
Facial skin may become dry if you’re using Athena, and oil based products really impair the performance of the Lift. My compromise solution, although it may not give me the tightest facelift on the block, is to use a rich night cream, Trienelle Nightly Restoration Formula. It is water-based, but contains several natural skin oils and vitamins, that moisturizes skin without being greasy. A 50 ml jar costs $55 and lasts about two months, if used sparingly. (Hint: Leave face slightly damp before applying.)
The article offers some great solutions so that your skin will lose its wrinkles, become more youthful, and glow - all within a month.
